Rolls Royce wanted to sell vehicles directly to wealthy Americans. The mailing list included people like John Travolta and Christina Aguilera, so we had to do something special to get their attention.
The solution was an enormous, 5-foot by 2-foot cardboard box, delivered to their residence.
Inside was an original piece of art, featuring Rolls Royce’s trademark ‘Coach lines’ – hand drawn by Mark Court, who applies coach lines as the finishing touch to every single Rolls Royce using a mixture of squirrel and horsehair brushes.
Accompanying the artwork was a certificate of authenticity and a 7-page letter outlining all of the other exquisite details you can expect to find in a Rolls Royce, with an emphasis on their commitment to making things by hand, rather than automation.
