Hawana

Located in Southern Oman, this is the country’s biggest real estate development, with 3 international hotels, 300 luxury apartments, a marina, water-park, eco-lodge and long stretches of palm-tree lined beaches.

Our first job was to create a name and identity. “Hawana Salalah” was created with, “Hawana” meaning “Cool, ocean breeze” in Arabic and the similarity with ‘Havana’ also helping reference the tropical location – as well as the fact that the two words mirror each other with 3-syllables each bending in an ‘ah’ sound.

The logo and identity were developed next, utilizing cooler blue and green colours with plenty of contours suggesting life and growth.

We also created and produced a launch film for Oman Air planes and cinema, as well as a series of print ads to announce the launch of the new development across the region.

Finally, we created a number of quirky applications based on quotes from the film that helped bring the identity to life.
